JFC Security is the security provider for the Jewish Federation of Cleveland. Founded in 2013, JFC Security helps to keep Jewish Cleveland safe by nurturing a culture of security and by maintaining strong law enforcement partnerships.

What We Do
We enhance the safety of Jewish Cleveland. We employ a team of highly trained, licensed security officers dedicated to safeguarding our community. Our coverage spans:
- Over 60 synagogues
- Nine early childhood centers
- 10 Jewish day schools
- Numerous social service organizations across Greater Cleveland.
Our fleet of mobile security vehicles patrols day and night, seven days a week. We are proud to be a trusted partner of the Cleveland Jewish community and law enforcement agencies across Northeast Ohio. We work closely with:
- FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF)
- Department of Homeland Security
- Local responders
- Chagrin Valley Regional Dispatch Center

Training
We offer a wide range of free training programs designed specifically for our community, with input from senior law enforcement experts. Our offerings include:
- Active shooter safety resources – Run/Hide/Fight
- Project Safe Classroom – “Stop the Bleed”
- Bomb threat management
- Usher/greeter training - the “Power of Hello”
- Situational awareness – pre-incident indicators
- Emergency communications – JFC emergency radio network
- High Holy Day/special event security pre-planning
- Developing agency crisis management plans
- Tabletop exercises – all hazards designed for your agency
- Building vulnerability assessments
- Handling suspicious mail/packages
- Assistance in procuring federal/state security grants
- Law enforcement liaison to the Jewish community
Our goal is to allow community members freedom to attend synagogue without worrying. Through the training by JFC Security, our congregants are able to see real–world observations of what could happen in many situations, and they’ll know what to do in order to save their lives and someone else’s life should something happen.
