Holocaust survivors and their families gathered Sept. 16 at Zion Memorial Park in Bedford Heights for the 57th year to remember the 6 million Jewish men, women and children who perished by the hands of the Nazis.

According to Terry Davis, CEO of Our Lady of the Wayside in Avon; Joel Fox, chief development officer at the Menorah Park Foundation in Beachwood; and Carol F. Wolf, assistant vice president of planned giving and endowment of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland in Beachwood; selecting where to donate to is as personal.

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland will host its annual ‘Super Sunday’ event, Jewish Cleveland’s single largest one-day give-a-thon of the year, on Sunday, October 14. Funds raised will benefit the Campaign for Jewish Needs, which is the Federation’s annual fundraising campaign that serves Jewish Cleveland and the global community.

Families share time together in many ways. When the children are of school age, time is spent at meals, childrens’ activities, birthdays and the activity of simply living together. As children grow older, families come together for vacations, graduations, special anniversaries and other important life events.
