The Jewish Federation of Cleveland's Cleveland Israel Arts Connection was joined by Eran Polishuk, CEO and founder of Chapter Two Films, to discuss “Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in Contemporary Israeli Cinema.”
The discussion focused on inclusion throughout the film industry in Israel. The Israeli state-funded cinema system has heeded the call by green-lighting myriad films by and about an ever-widening range of Israel’s diverse populations. Films reflecting the cultural diversity of Israel’s population have been gaining prominence and winning accolades on the international film festival circuit, on theatrical screens, and on streaming platforms.
Joining Eran in this program was host Susan Wasserman, member, Cleveland Israel Arts Connection Advisory Committee and co-chair, Mandel JCC Cleveland Jewish FilmFest; and Gregg Levine, chair, JFC Community Relations Committee and board member, Cleveland International Film Festival.
