Solidarity Rally for Israel
Last night, 2800 people from our community united. We came together as a Jewish community, together with friends in the broader community, to take a stand against terror and for Israel. We are a community that stands for peace. "We come together for two reasons," said Board Chair Reneé Chelm. "We stand behind the soldiers and the State of Israel. And, we say no to Hamas and global anti-Semitism." Thank you to our phenomenal speakers: Cantor Aaron Shifman, Reneé Chelm, Rabbi Richard Block, Miriam Engelhart, Charles Ratner, Pastor Steve Neptune, and Rabbi Binyamin Blau. And, thank you to the Mandel JCC, our local police and security team, the many media outlets who came to cover the event, and everyone who joined us for a meaningful night. We are stronger together! You can donate now to the Israel Emergency Assistance Fund, and help provide care for homebound elderly and disabled adults during this time of terror; respite for tens of thousands of children fleeing rocket attacks; and, crisis counseling for Israelis who are overwhelmed by anxiety and in need of relief. The trauma does not go away when the missiles stop. The effects are long-lasting. Visit www.jewishcleveland.org to donate.
