Supporting Each Other and Jewish Cleveland at the Women's Philanthropy Spring Brunch
This year, more than 350 women from across our diverse community came together to support each other and Jewish Cleveland at our annual Spring event. This tremendous turnout is further evidence of our shared commitment to making room for – and listening to – one another, no matter the topic.
Honorable Judge Rachel Freier of the New York City Criminal Court shared her personal – and, at times, humorous – story of determination and triumph by becoming the first Chassidic woman elected to public office.
“When you do something for G-d, it could be a very private little gesture. But you never know what kind of profound impact you’ll have on others,” she said. “When you do a mitzvah for someone else, you’re going to find out one day that you actually helped yourself.”
We also honored Judith Wolkoff, recipient of this year’s Irene Zehman Award for excellence in volunteer service for her work with the Transplant House of Cleveland. Over the years, Judith has become an integral part of the Transplant House family. Mazel Tov, Judith!
