WATCH: Shaping Minds Through History: The Maltz Museum Experience
Since the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage opened more than 20 years ago, the museum – a Federation beneficiary agency – has built bridges of tolerance and understanding by sharing Jewish heritage through the lens of the American experience.
The museum serves as a touchstone for Jewish and non-Jewish Cleveland to learn about how to be tolerant, how to be more accepting of everyone, and how to stop the spread of hate.
People of all ages and religions tour the museum - self-guided or through the assistance of a docent.
In 2024, more than 3500 students from 57 schools across Cleveland toured the Maltz Museum. These tours allow students to use inquiry-based learning, in which docents ask open-ended questions to prompt their critical thinking skills.
