WASHINGTON – Are we seeing a repeat of the 1920s and 1930s that led to the Holocaust or is the reaction to world events overblown?

The YLD Big Event is here, and the Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s Young Leadership Division is gearing up for one awesome night, celebrating people in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s who make a difference in this community – November 19 at The Westin Cleveland Downtown.

Share the warmth of the holiday by donating new gifts to children and families in need. The Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s Chanukah in a Basket program is collecting items to be distributed to local community members experiencing financial distress. For many children, these gifts may be the only gifts they receive this season.

Conservation is not just for spring time chats on Earth Day--Hanukkah is also a great time to talk about protecting the environment.

WASHINGTON – Jessica Cohen and Debbie Klein of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland hope their efforts regarding Israel advocacy and education efforts in the Greater Cleveland community can be a model across the country.

WASHINGTON – For Stephen H. Hoffman, president of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, and Gary Gross, the board chair of the Federation, the takeaways from Day 1 of the 2016 Jewish Federations of North America General Assembly were about the same.

Dina Rubin has been selected to join the national PJ Our Way Design Team, a prestigious position through the PJ Our Way program that gives young people the opportunity to develop leadership skills, while connecting with other pre-teens across the country. Dina, age 9, lives in Orange Village with her mom, dad, and older brother Ari, who was also involved in PJ Our Way as a member of Cleveland’s Local Design Team.

As a member of the Federation’s Overseas Connections Committee (OCC) and the St. Petersburg Subcommittee, I’m visiting St. Petersburg, Russia to learn and to listen.

The Young Leadership Division of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland will host its “Big Event” at 8:30 p.m. Nov. 19 at The Westin Cleveland Downtown, where Jewish adults in their 20s, 30s and 40s are invited to eat, drink and enjoy the company of peers.
