Jewtina y Co is the only organization in North America that is made to uplift and celebrate Latin Jewish culture. We spoke with the Director of Operations, Violeta Stolpen about how the two communities work together.

When more than 20 bomb shelters in Cleveland's sister city of Beit Shean, Israel needed repairs, the Jewish Cleveland community stepped up. Renovations to these spaces came at such a critical time including building classrooms, repairing pipes, installing generators, refrigerators, and air conditioners, and more.

The community of Kibbutz Kissufim, in the Gaza Envelope, sends a message of gratitude to Jewish Cleveland.

For nearly 10 years, the Jewish Federation of Cleveland has implemented STEM education in our sister city region in Israel - Beit Shean and Valley of Springs. The STEM ecosystem is helping to change the mindset of how children are learning from kindergarten through high school.

Since 2011, the Jewish Federation of Cleveland's Winter Break Lunch Program has served hundreds of students from the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. The program fills the gap to serve children during their winter break who would normally receive a lunch at school.

The Cleveland Jewish community gathered to mourn those killed in Australia, where two gunmen targeted Jewish people celebrating the first night of Chanukah at a public menorah lighting at Bondi Beach. Federation’s “Shine a Light” event united our community to mourn the victims, pray for the wounded, and support all who are grieving.

Segula, which means ‘treasure’ in Hebrew, is a partnership between the Jewish Education Center of Cleveland and three local day schools: Fuchs Mizrachi School, Gross Schechter Day School, and Joseph and Florence Mandel Jewish Day School. Segula helps families with children with special needs to be able to access a Jewish education.
