WATCH: Students Honor Holocaust Victims with Special Ceremony
- Share This Story
For nearly 10 years, Hillel at Kent State University and the AEPi fraternity have held a name-reading ceremony to commemorate Yom HaShoah. The 24-hour event is held on the campus of Kent State University; Jewish and non-Jewish students take turns reading the names of those who lost their life during the Holocaust.
As a beneficiary agency of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, Hillel at Kent State continues this critically important piece of Holocaust education and awareness in Jewish Cleveland by mentoring, supporting, and engaging thousands of students. By hosting this event in the heart of campus, the readers interact with students, faculty, and guests exposing them to the horrors of the Holocaust and the important Jewish value of zachor, to remember.
With your support to the Campaign for Jewish Needs, Hillel at Kent State University and Cleveland Hillel foster Jewish life on campus and encourages students' voices to be heard.
We will never forget.
