The room was buzzing with community leaders, elected officials, and our friends and families during the Community Relations Committee (CRC) Annual Meeting, last night.

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland will host its 110th Annual Meeting in celebration of our community’s strength, featuring groundbreaking Israeli author Ari Shavit. All are welcome to join Tuesday, April 8, at 7:30 p.m. at B’nai Jeshurun Congregation, 27501 Fairmount Blvd, Pepper Pike.

Chances are, you and your family have a Federation story. If you live in the Cleveland community, you’ve probably benefited from the Federation ‘s Campaign for Jewish Needs. And, now we’re asking you to give back.

Under the hot Israeli sun stands a soldier. Beneath his battered helmet, a lock of red hair; behind his sunglasses, twinkling blue eyes that survey the scene. This Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) paratrooper and combat medic is a long way from his home in Cleveland, OH but he’s right where he wants to be.

If you can read, you can fly… Marc knows this and that’s why, for the past decade, he’s made the trek each week through city neighborhoods, across a concrete playground to an inner city school. As a volunteer tutor, he reads books with kids.
