In February 2022, just minutes before men aged 16-60 were banned from evacuating Ukraine, the Jasnogor family crossed into Poland from Lviv. With the help of Jewish Federations and our partners on the ground, the Jasnogors were the last family to make aliyah all together.

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland celebrated the 74th Birthday of Israel at Yom Ha'atzmaut.

During this year's 118th Annual Meeting for the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, we honored outgoing Board Chair J. David Heller for three exemplary years of leadership to our Jewish Cleveland community!

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland announced that Michelle Hirsch of Chagrin Falls was awarded the 2022 Ruby Bass Challenge Award, the organization’s most prestigious award for women philanthropists. Wild was honored with the award at the Federation’s Women IN Philanthropy Signature Event on May 25.

Jewish Federation of Cleveland Board Chair J. David Heller, Federation President Erika B. Rudin-Luria, and Federation Board of Trustees Member Rebecca C. Heller traveled to the border of Poland and Ukraine. They partnered with the Jewish Federations of North America and our overseas agencies who are assisting refugees fleeing the devastation in their home country.
