The Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s Young Leadership Division (YLD) announced that Jonathon Nisenboum will succeed Ryan Levine as its board chair, effective January 2023. YLD connects Jewish young adults, ages 22 to 45, to each other and the community through social, volunteer, leadership, and philanthropic activities.

Bringing Israel to Cleveland: Our community is lucky to host community ShinShinim and Shlichim (Israeli emissaries). These young adults spend the year living in Cleveland, bringing Israeli life and culture to our community. Get to know our 2022-23 group below:

LAVAA, a digital health company in Israel, has hired three Clevelanders who interned with the startup over the summer through the Cleveland Onward Israel program with the Jewish Federation of Cleveland.

Rachel Glickman was recognized at our Campaign Closing Celebration for her dedication to the Campaign for Jewish Needs.

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland announced that a record $34,870,821 has been raised by 8,890 gifts – including 1,896 new gifts to the Campaign – representing 12,178 donors in the 2023 Campaign for Jewish Needs, the annual fundraising campaign that serves Jewish Cleveland and the global community.

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland's Young Leadership Division (YLD) is seeking outstanding young Jewish Clevelanders to serve on the YLD Board. YLD engages and cultivates future leaders of the Cleveland Jewish Community. YLD Board members, ages 22-45, will have the opportunity to drive YLD activity in its three core areas of focus - engagement, leadership development and philanthropy. The YLD Board is comprised of rising stars who serve in varying capacities professionally and in volunteer service throughout our community.

For nearly 10 years, Hillel at Kent State University and the AEPi fraternity have held a name-reading ceremony to commemorate Yom HaShoah. The 24-hour event is held on the campus of Kent State University; Jewish and non-Jewish students take turns reading the names of those who lost their life during the Holocaust.
