For too many Jewish families around the globe, food, shelter, and peace of mind are scarce and precious resources. That’s certainly true for Marina Mayorov and her son Bogdan — two Jews struggling to survive in battered Odesa, Ukraine.

This summer, JFC Security, LLC – Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s security provider – introduced a new layer of protection at Mandel JCC’s Camp Wise through a cutting-edge drone security pilot program. Operated by JFC Security personnel, the tethered drone system is part of JFC Security’s ongoing effort to incorporate emerging technologies that can further enhance safety across community spaces.

Dr. David Rosenberg, a member of the executive board at Jewish Family Service Association of Cleveland, is known for his persuasive touch—especially when it comes to rallying colleagues to help others. Just ask ophthalmologist Dr. Philip Goldberg, who now volunteers at Alyson’s Place Medical Clinic, a partnership between JFSA and MetroHealth.

In response to the historic rise in hatred targeting Jews, the Jewish Federation of Cleveland hosted its inaugural Education Leaders Summit—a gathering designed to educate and empower school leaders to better support the Jewish students in their schools. Held at the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, the March 2025 summit convened more than 100 participants, including superintendents, principals, heads of school, school board members and diversity professionals from over 50 public, private, and parochial schools across Northeast Ohio.

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s Chaplaincy program comforts members of the Jewish community in hospitals, nursing homes, the military and prisons through correspondence and visits from rabbis and volunteers.

Our Young Leadership Division celebrated the Moroccan holiday of Mimouna, which highlights the end of Passover.

On the campus of Federation beneficiary agency, Bellefaire JCB sits Monarch Center for Autism - a charter non-public school that helps to create a language-rich environment for children ages 5-21.

Our community came together in the wake of the murders of Sarah Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky.
